God is the One who gathers His children and reveals His holiness. In today's passage, the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel, telling the king of Tyre, "I am a god; I sit in God's seat in the heart of the seas." He pointed out that Tyre had become arrogant and exalted, claiming to be wiser than Daniel, understanding everything, gaining wealth through wisdom and understanding, and increasing wealth through trade. He declared that the Lord would bring down the tyrants of the Gentiles against him and bring him down to the pit. He took up a lament for the king of Tyre, saying, "He was blameless in his ways from the day he was created; his iniquity was found out. He will gather Israel and dwell in the land of Jacob." Amen.
