Daniel 1:8~9 긍휼

(Daniel 1:8~9 긍휼) But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs. 하나님은 주의 자녀를 지키시고 은혜와 긍휼을 얻게 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 유다왕 여호야김이 다스린지 삼년이 되는 해에 느부갓네살 왕이 예루살렘을 에워싸고 주께서 여호야김과 하나님의 성전의 그릇 일부를 그의 손에 넘기셨다. 느부갓네살 왕이 환관장 아스부나스에게 말하여 왕족과 귀족 몇사람 곧 지혜와 지식에 통달하여 왕궁에 설만한 소년들을 데려와 갈대아 학문과 언어를 가르치게 하였고 그들에게 왕의 음식과 마시는 포도주에서 날마다 쓸 것을 주게 하였는데 그들 중에 유다 자손 다니엘, 하나냐, 미사엘, 아사랴가 있었고 다니엘은 뜻을 정해 왕의 음식과 포도주로 자신을 더럽히지 않기를 구하니 그가 환관장의 은혜를 입었다. 아멘

God protects His children and grants them grace and mercy. In today's text, in the third year of the reign of King Jehoiakim of Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar besieged Jerusalem, and the Lord delivered Jehoiakim into his hands, along with some of the vessels of the temple of God. King Nebuchadnezzar instructed Ashpenaz, the chief of his eunuchs, to bring in some of the royal family and nobles-young men gifted in wisdom and knowledge, qualified to serve in the king's palace. He was to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans and to provide them with a daily allowance from the king's food and wine. Among them were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, all of Judah. Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the king's food and wine, and he found favor with the chief of the eunuchs. Amen.
