11월 첫날의 기도
 
푸른 잎사귀가 언제 그랬냐는 듯 옷을 갈아입고 떨어질 시간을 기다리는 가을에 주님 앞에 겸손히 나아갑니다.
 
만물을 통해서 가르쳐 주시는 주님의 섬세한 가르침에 더 순종하는 11월이 되게 하옵소서.
 
하나님, 11월에는 교육의 소식 가운데 기쁨과 희망의 이야기가 들리길 소원합니다.
 
12학년의 모든 과정이 입시 하나로 결집되어, 수능에 대한 불안과 공포, 기대가 어느 종교보다도 더 국민적인 관심이 되고 있습니다.
 
올해에도 치러지는 수능시험 가운데 주님의 긍휼과 은혜가 가득하길 원합니다.
 
시험, 대학 등이 우리 아이들보다 더 크게 보이지 않게 하시고 능력 주의의 성공관과 입시 결과로 모든 것이 결정된다는 사고에서 비전을 발견하고 소망을 따르는 하나님의 동역자가 되는 성경적, 복음적, 대안적 입시의 길로 나아가게 하옵소서.
 
우리 모든 자녀들이 11월의 학업을 잘 마무리하여 한해의 성실과 인내의 열매로 주님께 영광을 올려 드리게 하옵소서.
 
차디찬 겨울을 맞이하는 날들에도 주님이 계시는 화롯가에서 밤이 깊도록 머물며 마음으로 뜨겁게 사랑하게 하옵소서.

A Prayer for the First Day of November

In autumn, when the green leaves, as if nothing had happened, change their clothes and wait for the time to fall, I humbly approach the Lord.

May November be a month of greater obedience to the delicate teachings of the Lord, who teaches us through all things.

God, I pray that in November, we will hear stories of joy and hope in the news of education.

With all 12th graders focused on the college entrance exam, the anxiety, fear, and anticipation surrounding the CSAT have become a national concern, more so than any other religion.

I pray that the Lord's mercy and grace will be abundant throughout this year's CSAT.

Please do not let exams and universities seem bigger than our children. Instead, let us move beyond the meritocratic notion of success and the idea that everything is determined by college entrance exam results. May we find our vision and become God's co-workers who follow our hopes, and move toward a biblical, evangelical, and alternative path of college entrance.

May all our children successfully complete their studies in November and bring glory to the Lord with the fruits of their diligence and perseverance throughout the year.

Even as we face the cold winter, may we remain by the hearth where You are, deep into the night, and love You with a fervent heart.
