(Matthew 16:21 고백).From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 주의 십자가의 사역을 깨닫게 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문애서는 바리새인과 사두개인이 예수께 하늘로부터 오는 표적을 구하였는데, 예수께서 아침에 하늘이 붉고 흐리면 날이 궂는 것 같이 요나의 표적밖에는 보여줄 표적이 없다 하시고, 제자들에게 그들이 삼가 바리새인과 사두개인의 누룩을 주의하라 하시며, 제자들이 떡 가져오지 않은 것으로 걱정하자 예수께서 떡 다섯개로 오천명을 먹이신 것과 일곱개로 사천명을 먹이신 것을 말씀하시며 바리새인과 사두개인의 교훈을 조심하라 하셨다. 베드로의 '주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다' 고백을 들으시고 예수께서 고난과 죽음과 부활을 설명하셨다. 아멘

God is the One who enables His children to understand the work of the cross. In today's passage, the Pharisees and Sadducees asked Jesus for a sign from heaven, but Jesus replied that no sign would be given them except the sign of Jonah, just as the sky in the morning is red and overcast, indicating bad weather. He warned the disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees. When the disciples were concerned that they had not brought bread, Jesus told them of the five loaves that fed the five thousand and the seven that fed the four thousand, warning them to beware of the teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees. After hearing Peter's confession, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God," Jesus explained his suffering, death, and resurrection. Amen.
