시험을 앞둔 자녀가 바른 태도를 갖게 하소서
 
하나님 아버지, 자녀가 마디 마디 성장하는 과정을 곁에서 함께 바라보며 선물 주신 분의 마음을 느끼는 기쁨을 허락해 주심에 감사합니다.
 
이 시간 학업의 자리로 부르신 자녀에게 인생의 관문처럼 다가오는 시험을 앞두고 기도드립니다.
 
무엇보다 시험의 결과만을 중시하는 가치관과는 구별된 태도를 부모와 자녀에게 심어주시기를 원합니다.
 
시험이 자녀에게 부족한 부분임을 깨닫고 채워가는 과정, 자신의 은사와 소질을 찾아가는 여정이 되게 하시고 획일적 평가에 매몰되어서 초조해 하거나 조급해 하지 않기를 원합니다.
 
의연하게 그것을 바라보게 하시고, 담대하게 준비하게 하옵소서.
 
특별히 벼락치기와 같은 단기간의 공부로 좋은 성과를 내는 것에 초점을 맞추지 말게 하시고, 한 단게 한 단계 차분히 준비하며 시험의 현장에서도 정직하게 시험에 임할 수 있기를 원합니다.
 
또한 공부하는 것만큼 결과가 나오게 하시어 하나님은 심은 대로 거두시는 분임을 잊지 말게 하옵소서.
 
부모인 저희 또한 성적으로 자녀를 평가하지 않게 하시고 최고보다 최선을 바라게 하옵소서.

May the child facing the exam have the right attitude.

Heavenly Father, thank you for granting us the joy of feeling the heart of the One who gave us this gift, as we watch alongside our child as they grow step by step.

At this time, I pray for the child, whom you have called to the place of study, as they face the exam that approaches like a gateway in life.

Above all, I desire that you instill in both parents and children an attitude distinct from values that prioritize only the results of the exam.

May the exam become a process of realizing and filling in the areas where the child is lacking, and a journey of discovering their gifts and talents. May they not become anxious or impatient by getting bogged down in uniform evaluations.

May they look upon it with composure and prepare with boldness.

In particular, may they not focus on achieving good results through short-term cramming, but rather prepare calmly, one step at a time, and approach the exam with honesty.

Furthermore, may the results be commensurate with the amount of studying done, so that they never forget that God is the One who reaps what is sown.

May we, as parents, also refrain from evaluating our children by their grades, and may we strive for their best rather than the best.
