(2Corinthians 8:9 부요) For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 하나님은 주의 자녀를 부요케 하기 위하여 스스로 가난하게 되신 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 바울은 고린도 성도들에게 주께서 마게도냐 교회에 주신 은혜를 그들에게 알린다고 하며 마게도냐 성도들의 넘치는 기쁨과 극심한 가난이 풍성한 연보를 넘치도록 했으며 힘에 지나도록 했다고 하고, 그들이 먼저 자신을 주께 드리고 바울에게 주었다 했으며, 따라서 디도를 통해 고린도 교회에 이 일을 성취하라고 하고 그들 사랑의 진실함을 증명하기 위함이라 했다. 또한 그들에게 마음에 원하던 것 같이 완성하라 하며 없는 것은 받지 아니하실 것이라고 하며 그 목적을 균등하게 하기 위함이라 하고 거액의 연보에 대해 비방받지 않게 하기 위함이라 했다. 주를 찬양한다

God is the One who made Himself poor in order to enrich His children. In today's passage, Paul tells the Corinthian saints about the grace the Lord gave to the church in Macedonia. He states that the overflowing joy and extreme poverty of the Macedonian saints caused their offering to overflow—even beyond their means-and that they first gave themselves to the Lord and then gave to Paul. Therefore, he instructs them to accomplish this in the Corinthian church through Titus, saying it is to prove the sincerity of their love. He also tells them to complete it as they desired in their hearts, noting that He will not accept what they do not have, stating that this is to equalize the purpose and to prevent them from being slandered regarding the large offering. Praise the Lord.
