(2Corinthians 7:11 위로) For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter. 하나님은 주 안에서 근심을 통해 주의 자녀를 깨끗케 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 바울은 하나님을 두려워하는 가운데 거룩함을 이루어 육과 영의 더러운 것에서 자신을 깨끗하게 하자 하시며 '마음으로 우리를 영접하라'하시고, 그들을 향해 담대한 것, 자랑할 것이 많으니 모든 환난 중 위로가 가득하다 하고, 바울이 마게도냐에 이르렀을 때에 사방으로 환난을 당하였으나 디도가 옴으로 위로를 받았다고 고린도 성도들에게 설명하고 있다. 또한 바울은 편지로 그들을 근심하게 한 것을 후회하였으나 지금은 도리어 근심함은 그들이 회개에 이르게 되었다고 하며 하나님 뜻대로 하는 근심은 후회할 것이 없다고 하였다. 주를 찬양한다.


God is the One who cleanses His children through grief in the Lord. In today's passage, Paul urges us to cleanse ourselves from the defilement of flesh and spirit by achieving holiness in the fear of God, saying, "Receive us into your hearts." He tells them that they have boldness and much to boast about, and that they are filled with comfort amidst all their tribulations. He explains to the Corinthian believers that when he arrived in Macedonia, he suffered tribulation on every side, but was comforted by the arrival of Titus. Furthermore, Paul regrets having caused them grief through his letters, but now says that their grief has led them to repentance, stating that grief according to God's will leaves no room for regret. Praise the Lord.
