God is the One who reconciles His children through Jesus Christ. In today's passage, Paul says that if our tent house is destroyed, we know that we have a tent house built by God; he says that we earnestly long to be clothed with the dwelling from heaven, because we do not want to be found naked; and that we groan not to be naked but to be clothed, for death has been swallowed up by life, and that the Holy Spirit has been given as a guarantee for this. Furthermore, Paul says that he would rather be away from the body and be with the Lord, so that we may receive what is due us before the judgment seat of Christ for what we have done in the dead; and that one man died for all so that we might live for the one who has risen. Amen.
