(Psalm 118:8~9 생명) It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes. 하나님은 주를 신뢰하는 자에게 구원을 베푸시고 생명주는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 '여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그의 인자하심이 영원함이로다'하며 이제 이스라엘 집은 '그의 인자하심이 영원함이로다' 라고 '할지로다' 하며 자기가 고통중에 여호와께 부르짖으니 여호와께서 응답하시고 자신을 넓은 곳에 세우셨다고 했다. 또한 '여호와는 내 편이시라 내가 두려워하지 아니하리니 사람이 내게 어찌할까'하며, '여호와께서 내 편이 되사' 라고 하며 자신을 돕는 자 중에 계시고, 여호와께 피하는 것이 고관들을 신뢰하는 것보다 낳다고 하고 '내가 죽지 않고 살아서 여호와께서 하시는 일을 선포하리로다'라고 하며 주께서 심히 경책하셔도 죽음에는 넘기지 않으셨다 했다. 형통케 하신 주를 찬양한다.
