6월 첫날의 기도
 
생명의 권원 되시며 나라의 기초가 되시는 하나님, 새 생명의 운치가 날로 더해가는 6월, 플라타너스 너머로 보이는 푸른 하늘과 맑은 구름이 마음을 시원하게 합니다.
 
주님이 온 세상의 주인으로서 조성하여 주신 이 땅이 참으로 귀하게 여겨지는 이때에 우리나라를 생각하며 주님께 기도합니다.
 
하나님, 우리나라 역사 굽이 굽이마다 어렵지 않은 시대가 없었습니다.
 
외세의 침략과 정치적 위기, 경제의 어려움과 국민 화합의 위기 등 환난 속에서도 특유의 지혜와 민족성으로 세계 속에서 당당하게 '대한민국'으로 서가게 하시니 감사합니다.
 
이 모든 것이 주님의 은혜임을 고백하며, 믿음의 사람으로서 국가에 대한 책무성을 더욱 기도하게 됩니다.
 
하나님, 북한과 대치되어 있는 이 안타까운 현실 가운데서 마음과 분열의 터전에 화해와 평화가 싹트고 열매 맺게 하시고 분단국가의 설움이 다음세대에 이어지지 않도록 도와주옵소서.
 
북한과 우리나라의 교육 현실이 너무나도 많은 차이가 있어 통일 이후의 교육에도 어려움이 예상되지만 하나님의 화목케 하는 은혜로 인해 회복되게 하옵소서.
 
교육을 통하여 먼저 통일을 준비하며 하나 됨의 기쁨을 맛보게 하옵소서.
 
예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Prayer for the first day of June

God, the source of life and the foundation of the nation, June, when the charm of new life increases day by day, the blue sky and clear clouds beyond the plane trees refresh my heart.

At this time when the land that the Lord created as the master of the whole world is truly precious, I pray to the Lord while thinking of our country.

God, there has never been an era without difficulties in the twists and turns of our country’s history.

Thank you for allowing us to stand proudly as the ‘Republic of Korea’ in the world with our unique wisdom and national identity even in the midst of adversity such as invasion by foreign powers, political crisis, economic difficulties, and crisis of national unity.

I confess that all of this is the grace of the Lord, and as a person of faith, I pray even more for responsibility for the nation.

God, in this unfortunate reality where we are confronted with North Korea, please help us to sprout and bear fruit in the heart and the ground of division and so that the sorrow of a divided nation will not be passed on to the next generation.

The educational reality of North Korea and our country is so different that it is expected that education after unification will be difficult, but please restore it through God's reconciling grace.

Please prepare for unification first through education and let us taste the joy of unity.

I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
