(Jeremiah 36:6 두루마리) You go, therefore, and read from the scroll which you have written at my instruction, the words of the LORD, in the hearing of the people in the LORD's house on the days of fasting. And you shall also read them in the hearing of all Judah who come from their cities. 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 주의 말씀을 베풀어주시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 요시야 왕의 아들 여호야김 제사년에 여호와께로부터 예레미야에게 말씀이 임하여 두루마리 책을 가져다가 요시야의 날로부터 오늘까지 이스라엘과 유다에게 주께서 일러주신 모든 말을 기록하라고 하며 유다 가문이 그들에게 내리려한 모든 재난을 듣고 악한 길에서 돌이키면 악과 죄를 용서하리라 했다. 이에 예레미야가 아들 바룩을 부르매 바룩이 예레미야가 불러주는 대로 다 두루마리 책에 기록하였다. 또한 바룩이 금식일에 이 두루마리를 유다 모든 성읍에서 온 자들의 귀에 낭독하고 여호와의 앞에 기도하라 하였다. 아멘

God is the one who gives His word to His children. In today's text, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of King Josiah, the word came to Jeremiah from the Lord: Take a scroll and write on it all the words that the Lord has spoken to Israel and Judah from the days of Josiah until this day. He said, "If the house of Judah hears all the disaster I intend to bring on them and turns from their evil ways, I will forgive their wickedness and their sin." Then Jeremiah called his son Baruch, and Baruch wrote on a scroll all that Jeremiah dictated. He also told all the towns of Judah to read it on a fast day and pray before the Lord. Amen.
