(Jeremiah 52:31 의복) Now it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth day of the month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison. 하나님은 주의 자녀로 갇힌 곳에서 풀어 해방을 주시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 시드기야가 왕 위에 오를 때에 나이가 이십일세였는데 예루살렘에서 십일년동안 다스렸으며, 그가 여호야김의 행위를 본받아 악을 행하였고 바벨론 왕을 배반하였다. 시드기야 구년에 바벨론 왕이 군대를 거느리고 예루살렘에 와서 토성을 쌓고 시드기야 왕 제십일년까지 포위되었다가 성벽이 파괴되니 시드기야 왕이 동산 문 곁 길로 도망하였는데 갈대아 군대에 붙잡혀 바벨론 왕 앞으로 끌려가 시드기야 아들은 죽고 시드기야는 눈이 뽑혀 옥으로 갔다. 유다왕 여호야긴이 사로잡힌지 삼십칠년에 에윌므로닥에 의해 풀려나 왕 앞에서 먹었다. 아멘

In today's text, Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he ascended the throne, and he reigned in Jerusalem for eleven years. He followed the example of Jehoiakim and committed evil, betraying the king of Babylon. In the ninth year of Zedekiah's reign, the king of Babylon came with his army to Jerusalem and built a siege rampart. The city was besieged until the eleventh year of Zedekiah's reign. Then the wall was broken down, and King Zedekiah fled by the way near the Garden Gate. He was captured by the Babylonian army and taken before the king of Babylon. Zedekiah's son was killed, and Zedekiah himself was blinded and imprisoned. In the thirty-seventh year of his captivity, King Jehoiachin of Judah was released by Evil-Merodach and ate in the king's presence. Amen.
