9월 첫날의 기도
 
세상을 달구는 뜨거운 무더위를 살짝 뒤로 하고 부쩍 높아진 하늘과 시원한 바람이 초가을의 정취를 느끼게 하니 새로운 계절의 시작을 향한 반가움과 여름날의 시간을 추억으로 남기는 아쉬움이 마음에 함께 자리합니다.
 
주님, 9월에도 주님의 은혜가 온 누리에, 특히 교육의 영역에 가득하기를 소원합니다.
 
자라나는 우리의 아이들이 하늘의 공급된 힘으로 자라는 가을의 대추처럼, 사과처럼 주님 안에서 무럭무럭 자라고 꿈을 펼치고 우정을 나누게 하옵소서.
 
가정과 학교는 새 학기를 맞아 과실을 가꾸는 농부처럼, 부지런히 하늘을 바라보며 하루 하루 정성을 다해 자녀들을 맞이하고 양육하게 하시며, 특히 가정과 교회와 학교, 그리고 지역사회가 서로 협력하는 가운데 교육의 바른 길을 함께 걸어가며 사람을 길러내는 사명을 보다 충실히 감당하게 하옵소서.
 
주님께서 열어주시는 9월을 기대하며 살아가길 원하오니 늘 동행하여 주옵소서.

Prayer for the First Day of September

The scorching heat of the world has left us, and the sky has cleared considerably, and the cool breeze brings the feeling of early autumn. My heart is filled with joy at the start of a new season, yet with a sense of regret for leaving behind the memories of summer days.

Lord, may your grace fill the world, especially in the realm of education, in September.

Lord, may our children, like autumn jujubes and apples, flourish with the power of heaven, growing in you, so that they may flourish, fulfill their dreams, and share friendships.

May our families and schools, like farmers cultivating fruit for the new semester, diligently look to heaven and diligently welcome and nurture our children each day. In particular, may the home, church, school, and community cooperate to walk the right path of education and more faithfully fulfill their mission of nurturing people.

I pray that we may live in anticipation of the September you have opened, and please be with us always.

In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
