온유한 부모 되게 하소서
 
범죄한 아담과 하와에게 따뜻한 가죽옷을 지어 입히시고, 살인자 가인에게 표를 주어 보호해주신 하나님, 출애굽한 백성들을 불기둥과 구름 기둥으로 인도하시고 만나와 메추라기를 내려주신 하나님, 이스라엘 백성들은 늘 하나님께 불평하고 불편을 끼쳤지만, 하나님은 친절과 선을 베풀어 주셨습니다.
 
하나님, 자녀를 사랑한다는 것은 이처럼 수독적인 사랑을 넘어서 때론 자녀가 우리의 마음을 상하게 하는 일이 있더라도, 늘 친절과 선을 베푸는 능동적인 행동임을 기억하게 하옵소서.
 
괴롭고 고통스러운 일이 있더라도, 그 때문에 분노하고 마음이 불같이 일어나 거친 태도를 보이는 것이 아니라, 오히려 더욱 낮아진 마음과 겸손한 자세로 평온함을 잃지 않게 하옵소서.
 
친절하지 않은 인생의 순간들을 만나 마음이 일그러진 자녀에게 따뜻하고 친절하며 넉넉한 품을 내어주는 부모가 되어 그들로 하나님의 더 넑고 크신 품을 경험하게 하옵소서.

God, you clothed Adam and Eve in warm coats of skin after their sin, and protected Cain, the murderer, by giving him a mark. God guided the Israelites after their Exodus with pillars of fire and cloud, and provided them with manna and quail. The Israelites constantly complained to you and caused you inconvenience, but you showed them kindness and goodness.

God, help us remember that loving our children goes beyond this self-serving love. It involves actively showing them kindness and goodness, even when our children sometimes hurt us.

Even when we face difficult and painful experiences, don't let them become angry, angry, or angry, but rather humble and maintain peace.

May we become parents who embrace our children with warmth, kindness, and generosity, even when their hearts are twisted by life's unkind moments. May they experience your even broader and greater embrace.
