자랑하지 않는 부모 되게 하소서
 
풀꽃만의 아름다움을 허락하신 하나님, 때로 우리가 내가 가진 것에 만족하지 못하고 다른 옷을 입히고, 포장하는 것으로 자랑의 가면을 쓰고 살아감을 아시지요.
 
하나님, 자신을 "이스라엘 지파의 가장 작은 베냐민 사람"이며 베냐민 지파 모든 가족 중에 가장 미약하다고 여겼던 사울에게 그것이 열등감이 되에 비교와 질투 속에 범죄한 왕으로 전락해 버렸음을 생각할 때, 하나님께서 원하시는 사랑은 자신을 누군가와 비교하지 않고, 내게 주어진 것을 인정하며, 하나님의 은혜에 자족하는 것이 되어야 함을 믿습니다.
 
하나님, 그렇게 자녀를 있는 그대로 인정하고 사랑하게 하옵소서.
 
그리고 그 이전에 기독학부모인 내 자신부터 인정하고 사랑해주며 하나님의 은혜로 일어서게 하옵소서.
 
이를 통하여 "나는 사도 중에 가장 작은 자라...내가 한 것이 아니요 오직 나와 함께 하신 하나님의 은혜로라(고전 15:9~10)"는 사도 바울의 고백이 나의 고백이 되어 자랑하지 아니하는 온전한 사랑의 열매를 날마다 맺게 하옵소서.

Help us be parents who do not boast.

God, who granted us the beauty of wild flowers, you know that sometimes we are dissatisfied with what we have, and we live wearing a mask of pride by dressing up and embellishing ourselves with different clothes.

God, when I think about Saul, who considered himself "the smallest of the tribes of Israel" and the weakest of all the families of Benjamin, this inferiority complex led to his downfall as a king, driven by comparison and jealousy. I believe that the love you desire is not to compare ourselves to others, but to acknowledge what you have given us and be content with your grace.

God, help me to accept and love my children as they are.

And before that, as a Christian parent, please acknowledge and love myself first, and help me rise up with your grace.

Through this, may the Apostle Paul's confession, "I am the least of the apostles... not I, but the grace of God that was with me" (1 Corinthians 15:9-10), become my confession, and may I bear the fruit of perfect love that does not boast every day.
