성숙한 시민을 기르는 교육이 이루어지게 하소서

애굽의 노예들을 이끌어 성숙한 하나님의 백성을 만들기 위해 말씀과 훈련으로 양육하신 하나님, 이 땅의 모든 형태의 학교를 통해 하나님이 지으신 세상을 바르게 섬기는 성숙한 시민이 길러지기를 간구합니다.

이 땅의 교육이 개인의 도야와 성취를 지향하는 수준에 그치지 않고, 사회와 나라를 사랑할 뿐만 아니라 그 사랑을 행동과 실천으로 펼쳐가는 성숙한 수준에 이르게 하옵소서.

교육을 통해 자신의 권리는 물론이고 세상을 향한 책임과 역할, 의무도 마땅히 감당할 줄 아는 건강한 시민들이 만들어지게 하옵소서.

성숙한 시민으로 길러진 자녀들을 통해 사회와 나라의 온갖 문제가 해결되며, 죄와 악에 대한 무감각이 하나님 나라의 거룩함으로 회복되게 하옵소서.

자녀들을 통해 이 사회의 거짓과 악에 복종하던 것들이 도전받고 변화되게 하옵소서.

개인과 가족, 이해집단 수준의 이익과 욕심을 추구하는 어리석음이 바뀌어 나라와 사회, 교육 모든 곳에서 그 책임과 의무를 다하는 성숙이 이루어지게 하옵소서.

May education foster mature citizens.

God, who raised the slaves of Egypt through your Word and training to become a mature people of God, we pray that through all forms of schooling on this earth, mature citizens who properly serve the world you have created will be cultivated.

May education in this land not only pursue individual development and achievement, but also reach a mature level of love for society and the nation, and manifest that love through action and practice.

May education produce healthy citizens who understand not only their rights but also their responsibilities, roles, and duties toward the world.

May all the problems of society and the nation be resolved through children raised as mature citizens, and may insensitivity to sin and evil be restored to the holiness of your kingdom.

May those who submit to the lies and evil of this society be challenged and transformed through our children.

May the foolish pursuit of self-interest and greed at the individual, family, and interest group levels be transformed, and may maturity in fulfilling their responsibilities and duties be achieved in all sectors of the nation, society, and education. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
