파괴된 언어를 회복시키소서
 
말씀으로 이 세상을 창조하신 하나님, 하나님 형상으로 지어진 우리들에게도 말을 통한 권세를 주셨음을 믿습니다.
 
각 민족에게 주신 언어로 생각과 뜻을 서로 나누며 살아가고 있음에 감사드립니다.
 
우리는 사랑하는 사람의 말 한마디에 삶의 의미를 찾고, 소망을 주는 말 한마디에 온갖 어려움을 참고 인내할 수 있으며, 믿음을 주는 말 한마디에 모든 역경을 이겨 내는 놀라운 역사를 체험하며 살아갑니다.
 
그러나 주님, 하나님이 주신 축복의 통로인 언어를 바르게 사용하지 못할 때가 있음을 고백합니다.
 
다른 사람에게 우리의 뜻을 바르게 전달하지 못하여 소통을 단절시켰고, 거친 말로 다른 사람의 마음에 상처를 주었으며, 거짓된 말로 상대방의 믿음을 무너뜨리며 살아가고 있는 우리들을 불쌍히 여기사 사랑의 언어 능력을 깨닫게 하시고 하나님께서 주신 말씀의 능력을 회복하게 하옵소서.
 
생명의 근원이 마음에서 나온다는 말씀에 따라, 우리 언어의 근원인 마음을 항상 정결하게 지키게 하옵소서.
 
하나님 말씀의 능력이 전달되는 통로가 되게 하옵소서.

Restore our broken language.

God, who created this world through your words, I believe you have given us, created in your image, the authority through words.

Thank you for allowing us to share our thoughts and intentions with one another through the language you have given each nation.

We experience the amazing history of finding meaning in life through the words of those we love, enduring and persevering through every hardship through every word of hope, and overcoming every adversity through every word of faith.

However, Lord, we confess that there are times when we fail to use language, the channel of your blessings, correctly.

Have mercy on us who have failed to properly convey our intentions to others, thereby breaking communication, hurting others with harsh words, and destroying their trust through falsehood. Please help us to understand the power of the language of love and restore the power of your Word.

According to the Word, which says that the source of life flows from the heart, may we always keep our hearts, the source of our language, pure.

May they become channels through which the power of your Word is conveyed.

In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
