교사에게 소명과 열정을 회복시키소서
 
이 세상의 빛과 소금으로 교사들을 부르시는 하나님, 교사가 학교에서 학생을 가르치기 이전에, 먼저 빛이신 하나님을 만나 그 안에 거하며, 하나님과 이웃을 깊이 사랑하고 섬기며 살아가는 소금이 되기를 원합니다.
 
교사의 직분을 오랫동안 감당하다 보니 아이들을 가르치는 일이 당연해졌고, 어느 때부터인가 안일하게 생각했던 적도 있습니다.
 
이 땅의 교사들이 소명자로서 매일 아침마다 '네가 나를 사랑하느냐'고 물으시는 주님의 음성에 맡기신 양을 돌보는 삶으로 응답하게 하옵소서.
 
또한 한 마리 잃은 양을 찾으시던 주님의 마음을 본받아 맡겨주신 아이들을 뜨거운 마음으로 끝까지 사랑하게 하옵소서.
 
과도한 경쟁 속에서 갈 길을 잃고 잘못된 어른들의 삶의 방식에 점점 오염되어 가는 이 땅의 아이들에게 예수님의 희생과 봉사, 나눔과 헌신의 삶을 본받도록 가르치는 선한 목자인 교사가 되게 하옵소서.
 
가르침의 첫 마음을 잃지 않게 하시고, 하나님이 주신 소명에 응답하며, 교육의 열정을 날마다 새롭게 하옵소서.
 
새로운 소명자로 오늘도 교사를 부르신 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Restore the calling and passion of teachers.

God, who calls teachers to be the light and salt of this world, before teachers teach students in schools, I pray that they first encounter God, the light, and dwell in Him, becoming salt who deeply loves and serves God and their neighbors.

Having served as a teacher for so long, teaching children has become a natural task, and at some point, I even felt complacent.

May the teachers of this land, as those called to serve, respond to the voice of the Lord asking each morning, "Do you love me?" by caring for the sheep entrusted to them.

Also, may they emulate the heart of the Lord, who sought the one lost sheep, and love the children entrusted to them with a fervent heart to the end.

May teachers become good shepherds who teach the children of this land, who have lost their way amidst excessive competition and are increasingly polluted by the misguided lifestyles of adults, to emulate Jesus' life of sacrifice, service, sharing, and devotion.

May they never lose their original heart for teaching, may they respond to the calling God has given them, and may their passion for education be renewed every day.

We pray in the name of Jesus, who called us teachers today with a new calling. Amen.
