Hosea 7:11~12 지혜

(Hosea 7:11~12 지혜) 하나님은 주의 자녀에게 지혜를 주셔서 주께로 돌아오게 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 주께서 이스라엘을 치료하려 하실 때에 에브라임의 죄와 사마리아의 악이 드러났다고 하시며, 그들의 행위가 그들을 둘러싸고 주의 목전에 있다고 하였다. 또한, 그들이 악과 거짓말로 그들의 왕과 방백들을 기쁘게 하였고, 그들은 간음한 자라서 달궈진 화덕과 같다고 하시며, 방백들이 술의 뜨거움으로 병이 나고 왕은 악인들과 악수한다고 하였다. 에브라임이 열방에 혼잡되고 이방인에게 그 힘이 삼키웠어도 그들이 깨닫지 못하였다고 하며, 이스라엘은 교만하여 주께로 가지 않고, 에브라임은 애굽과 앗수르로 간다고 하였다. 그러므로 저희가 갈 때에 주께서 그물로 그들을 쳐 잡을 것이라 했다. 주의 행하심을 찬양한다. 

God is the One who gives wisdom to His children and turns them back to Him. In today's text, He says that when He sought to heal Israel, the sins of Ephraim and the wickedness of Samaria were exposed, and their deeds surrounded them and were before His eyes. He also says that they pleased their king and princes with wickedness and lies, and that they were adulterers, like a burning oven. The princes became sick from the heat of wine, and the king shook hands with the wicked. Ephraim was mixed among the nations, and foreigners swallowed up his strength, yet they did not understand. Israel was proud and did not go to the Lord, while Ephraim went to Egypt and Assyria. Therefore, when they went, the Lord would catch them with a net. Praise be to the Lord for His deeds.
