(Hosea 10:12 기경) Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in Mercy; Break up your fallow ground. For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. 하나님은 주의 자녀의 믿음의 밭을 기경하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 '이스라엘은 열매맺는 무성한 포도나무라'하시며 그 열매가 많을 수록 제단을 많게 하고 주상을 아름답게 한다고 하고 그들이 두려움을 품었기 때문에 벌을 받을 것이며, 그 주상을 허실 것이라 했다. 또한 그들이 '왕이 우리를 위하여 무엇을 하리요' 하며 거짓 맹세로 언약을 세워 그 재판이 밭이랑에 돋는 독초와 같다고 하고 사마리아 주민이 벧아웬의 송아지로 말미암아 두려워 할 것이라고 했다. '이스라엘의 죄 곧 아웬의 산당은 파괴되며 그들이 산더러 우리 위에 무너지리라' 할 것이며 주께서 원하는 때에 그들을 징계할 것이라 하고, 그들은 묶은 땅을 기경하라 하시고 지금이 여호와를 찾을 때라 했다. 아멘

God is the One who plows the fields of faith of His children. In today's text, He says, "Israel is a luxuriant vine, bearing fruit," and that the more fruit it produces, the more altars it builds and the more beautiful its sacred images it creates. He declares that because they harbored fear, they will be punished and their sacred images will be torn down. He also declares that they have made a covenant with false oaths, saying, "What can the king do for us?" and that their judgments are like poisonous weeds growing in the furrows of the field. He also declares that the inhabitants of Samaria will be afraid because of the calf of Beth Aven. He declares, "The sin of Israel—the high places of Aven-will be destroyed; they will say, 'Fall on us,'" and that the Lord will punish them when He chooses. They declare, "Plow the ground you have bound," and that now is the time to seek the Lord. Amen.
