모든 것을 믿는 부모 되게 하소서

모든 것을 믿는 부모 되게 하소서
 
현재를 넘어 장차를 보시는 하나님, 우리도 그 사랑 안에서 하나님을, 배우자를, 자녀를, 그리고 나 자신을 온전히 믿어주는 사랑을 하기 원합니다.
 
아이에게 사랑한다라는 말을 끊임없이 하면서 늘 우리 안의 시선에는 불안과 걱정이 있음을 고백합니다.
 
자녀를 보는 우리 시선 속에 '신뢰'와 '믿음'이 함께 하지 않았던 모습이 있음을 긍휼히 여겨 주옵소서.
 
예수님께서 베드로의 '외모'가 아닌 '중심'에 관심을 두시어 그 누구보다 예수님을 열정적으로 사랑했던 중심을 보셨듯이, 우리 아이 안에 있는 많은 씨앗들이 자라 나무가 되고 열매가 될 '장차'의 모습을 예수님의 시선과 기대로 바라보고 온전히 믿어주기를 원하오니 주님 도와 주옵소서.
 
자녀의 삶이 당면한 어떤 문제 속에서도 자녀를 사랑하되 끝까지 사랑하신 하나님의 그 사랑 안에서 오늘도 자녀에게 사랑한다 말하는 기독학부모가 되게 하옵소서.

May we be parents who trust in everything.

God, who sees beyond the present to the future, we too desire to love with complete faith in You, our spouse, our children, and ourselves, in that love.

While constantly telling our children we love them, we confess that our gaze is always filled with anxiety and worry.

Please have mercy on us, for there are times when we do not see our children with "trust" and "faith."

Just as Jesus focused on Peter's "heart," not his "outward appearance," and saw his passionate love for Him more than anyone else, may we look upon the many seeds within our children with Jesus's gaze and expectation, trusting fully in their "future" as they grow into trees and bear fruit. Lord, help us.

May we be Christian parents who love our children, regardless of the challenges they face in their lives, and who, in the love of God who loved them to the end, tell them today that we love them.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
