성품에 무관심한 교육현장을 긍휼히 여기소서
 
아버지 하나님, 이 땅을 바라볼 쌔 곳곳에서 탄식소리와 신음하는 소리를 듣습니다.
 
특히 왜곡된 교육 아래에서 우리의 자녀들이 얼마나 많은 고통을 당하며 신음하고 있는지 보시옵소서.
 
지금 이 사회는 아이의 인성과 성품에 관심을 두기 보다는 성적 향상의 비법을 제시하며 지식을 팔고 있습니다.
 
수많은 소리들은 부모의 불안감을 자극하여 지식을 팔고 있습니다.
 
주님, 신앙을 중요하게 여긴다고 했으나 공부에 지장을 줄까 걱정했고, 성품을 소중하게 여긴다고 했으나 오히려 손해보지 않을까 우려했으며, 다른 사람을 배려하라고 했으나 자기 유익을 먼저 생각할 때가 많았습니다.
 
여러 가지 다양하고 협동심이 돋보이는 교육 활동보다 더 많이 알고, 더 많은 점수를 얻고, 더 좋은 명문대를 보내기 위해 아이를 재촉하기도 했습니다.
 
우리 안의 경쟁주의, 입시 지상주의의 문화를 식혀 주시고, 이제는 돌이켜 아이에게 사람 됨됨이와 성품에 초점을 맞추는 교육을 만들어 가게 하옵소서.
 
교육에 대한 올바른 방향을 찾게 인도하시고, 한 사람을 온전히 세우는 것에 있어 성품이 중요함을 놓치지 않게 하옵소서.

Have mercy on the educational landscape that is indifferent to character.

Father God, as I look upon this land, I hear sounds of lamentation and groaning from every corner.

Please look upon how much suffering and groaning our children are enduring, especially under distorted education.

Instead of focusing on a child's character and personality, this society is selling knowledge by presenting secrets to improving grades.

Countless voices exploit parents' anxieties to sell knowledge.

Lord, we claimed to value faith, yet we worried it might hinder their studies; we claimed to cherish character, yet we feared we might suffer a loss; we told them to be considerate of others, yet often we thought of our own benefit first.

We even pressured our children to know more, earn higher scores, and get into better prestigious universities, rather than engaging in various educational activities that highlight cooperation.

Please cool down the culture of competition and entrance exam supremacy within us, and help us to turn back now and create an education that focuses on our children's character and personality. May You guide us to find the right direction for education, and may You ensure that we do not lose sight of the importance of character in fully building up a person.
