(2Corinthians 12:9 능력)And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 하나님은 주의 자녀의 약한데서 주의 능력을 온전케 하시는 분이시다. 오늘 본문에서는 바울은 고린도교회에 환상과 계시를 말한다고 하며 바울이 십사년 전에 셋째 하늘에 이끌려갔는데 말로 표현할 수 없는 말을 들었다고 하고, 자신이 지극히 크게 계시를 받았기 때문에 자만하지 않게 하시려고 사탄의 가시를 주셨다고 하였다. 바울이 이것이 자신에게서 떠나가도록 세번 간구하였는데 주께서 주의 은혜가 바울에게 족하다고 말씀하시고 주의 능력이 약한데서 온전하여지기 때문이라고 하셨다고 하며, 이에 바울이 기뻐하며 자신의 약한 것을 자랑할 것은 그리스도의 능력이 자신에게 머물게 함이라 하셨다. 아멘\

 

God is the One who perfects His power in the weakness of His children. In today's passage, Paul speaks of visions and revelations to the Corinthian church. He states that fourteen years ago, he was caught up to the third heaven and heard words that cannot be expressed in words. He further explains that because he had received such a great revelation, He was given a thorn in the flesh of Satan to prevent him from becoming arrogant. Paul pleaded three times for this to depart from him, but the Lord said that His grace was sufficient for him and that His power is perfected in weakness. Rejoicing at this, Paul declared that he would boast in his weakness, for it causes the power of Christ to rest upon him. Amen.
