모든 것을 견디는 부모 되게 하소서
 
하나님 아버지, 우리가 자녀를 사랑하고 다른 사람을 사랑하는 진실한 마음과 행함은 하나님이 도와주시지 않고는 할 수 없는 일임을 고백합니다.
 
감정과 마음의 차원을 넘어 의지와 몸으로 사랑하기를 원하시는 하나님, 품에 안은 이 아이의 과거, 현재, 미래를 기꺼이 사랑하고 받아들이는 여정 가운데 있는 우리가 '사랑의 선'을 행하되 낙심하지 않도록 붙잡아 주옵소서.
 
청지기로서 우리가 낙심하지 않고 사랑의 길을 걸어 자녀를 향한 하나님의 뜻과 부르심이 하나님의 가장 알맞은 때에 열매 맺도록 성령님 도와주옵소서.
 
그리하여 추운 겨울을 버티며 살아내는 나무와 같이 외부의 환경과 압박 속에서도 우리에게 주어진 상황을 외면하지 않고, 고통이 끝이 있음을 알고 끝까지 맞서서 회복하기 위해 힘끄는 기독학부모가 되게 하옵소서.
 
욥이 그의 재산이 없어지고 자녀들이 죽고 심각한 병이 생겼을 때, 원망과 좌절 대신 '사랑'을 선택하여 하나님을 여전히 사랑하였던 것을 기억하게 하옵소서.
 
예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Help us become parents who endure all things.

Father God, we confess that the sincere heart and actions of loving our children and loving others are impossible without Your help.

God, who desires to love beyond emotion and mind, with our will and body. Hold us, so that we do not become discouraged as we embark on the journey of loving and accepting the past, present, and future of this child you hold in your arms.

As stewards, may the Holy Spirit help us not to become discouraged but to walk the path of love, so that God's will and calling for our children may bear fruit at His most appropriate time.

So, like a tree that endures the harsh winter, may we become Christian parents who do not turn away from our circumstances, but who, recognizing that suffering has an end, face it to the end and strive for recovery.

Remember that Job, when his possessions were lost, his children died, and he became seriously ill, chose love over resentment and frustration, and still loved You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
