쉼의 성경적 의미를 아는 부모 되게 하소서

 

세상을 육일 동안 창조하시고 칠일째 안식하심으로 창조를 완성하시고 쉼을 허락하신 하나님, 안식을 통해 우리가 참 기쁨을 누리게 하시고 우리를 보존하시기를 원하시는 줄 믿습니다.

 

그러나 오늘 우리가 살아가는 모습은 세속화나 맘모니즘이 만연하여 생산과 소비가 우리의 삶을 좌지우지 하며 억악하고 끝없이 위로 올라가는 삶을 추구하게 합니다.

 

이 땅의 교육 또한 초등학교부터 대학입시에 이르는 입시위주의 교육과정으로 인해 쉼 없는 교육이 지속되고 있음을 아시오니 주여, 쉼 없이 달리는 우리를 긍휼히 여기시고 안식하지 못하게 하는 것들로부터 저항하여 교육의 본질을 회복할 수 있도록 도와주옵소서.

 

교육의 길에서 달려가는 우리가 달음질을 멈추고 하나님이 원하시는 교육이 '하나님의 형상'대로 지음 받은 인간이 하나님을 닮아가는 삶을 살며, 각자에게 주신 독특한 선물인 은사를 계발하고 부르신 소명의 자리에서 그 은사로 이웃을 사랑하고 하나님 나라를 위해 살아가는 모습임을 깨닫게 하셔서 쉼을 누리며 행복하고 고유한 삶을 영위하게 하옵소서.

기독학부모의 기도, 하나님의 교육이 이루어지는 365일(쉼이있는 교육)

 

May we be parents who understand the biblical meaning of rest.

God, who created the world in six days and rested on the seventh, completing creation and granting rest, I believe you desire to allow us to experience true joy and preserve us through rest.

However, today, we live in a world rife with secularization and mammonism, where production and consumption dominate our lives, leading us to pursue a life of oppression and endless upward mobility.

You know that the education system in this land, from elementary school through college entrance exams, is constantly focused on entrance exams, leading to a relentless education. Lord, have mercy on us as we race tirelessly, and help us resist those things that prevent us from resting, so that we can restore the essence of education.

May we, who are racing on the path of education, stop running and realize that the education God desires is for us, created in His image, to live lives that resemble Him, developing the unique gifts He has given us, and using those gifts to love our neighbors and live for the kingdom of God in our calling. May we find rest and lead happy, unique lives.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
