긍휼히 여기는 부모가 되게 하소서
 
아픈 사람, 죄로 얼룩진 사람들을 보며 눈물을 흘리신 예수님을 바라보며 이 시간 기도드립니다.
 
하나님, 예수님의 사역을 통해 어떠한 모습이 긍휼의 삶인지를 알게 하시니 감사합니다.
 
우리도 기꺼이 자신을 잊고, 다른 사람에게 공감하며 다른 사람의 고통에 동참하는 삶을 살아가길 원하오니 그것이 하나님의 사랑하는 증거가 되게 하여 주옵소서.
 
하나님께서 우리를 향하여 넘치는 사랑과 긍휼을 나타내주심으로 우리도 용서받은 만큼 용서하고, 고통을 당하는 사람들과 어려움 가운데 있는 사람을 깊이 이해하는 자리로 나아갈 수 있음을 고백합니다.
 
특별히 자녀들을 불쌍히 여기시고 긍휼히 여기시는 주님의 마음을 깨닫게 하셔서 자녀들을 위해 십자가에 자신을 내어주신 사랑과 빛 가운데 살아가는 통로가 되게 하옵소서.
 
부요하지만 인색하고 긍휼을 나타내 보이지 않는 무자비한 종과 같은 부모가 되지 않게 하셔서 서로의 관계 안에서 넘치도록 임하는 긍휼을 경험하게 하옵소서.
 
예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Please help us become compassionate parents.

Looking at Jesus, who shed tears at the sight of those in pain and those stained by sin, I pray this hour.

God, thank you for showing us through Jesus' ministry what a life of mercy looks like.

May we also willingly forget ourselves, empathize with others, and share in their suffering. May this be evidence of your love.

We confess that God has shown us His overflowing love and mercy, so that we too can forgive as we have been forgiven and move toward a place of deep understanding of those who are suffering and in need.

May you especially understand the Lord's heart of compassion and mercy toward His children, so that we may become conduits for them to live in the love and light that He gave Himself for them on the cross.

May we not be like merciless servants, wealthy yet stingy, and lacking compassion. May we experience the overflowing mercy that is bestowed upon us in our relationships with one another.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
