의를 위하여 박해받는 부모가 되게 하소서
 
하나님, 예수님을 잘 믿기 위해 노력할 때 고난과 오래참음의 본을 보여주었던 믿음의 선조들을 기억합니다.
 
투옥과 추방을 당하고, 지위를 빼앗기기도 하며, 신분과 명예를 잃으며 도살할 양과 같이 고통 당하면서도 그리스도를 위해 받는 고난의 영예와 즐거움의 유익을 그 고통보다 많게 여겼습니다.
 
우리의 믿음의 인생 여정에도 하나님의 말씀을 지키기 위해 당하는 고통, 우상숭배를 하지 않음으로써 당하는 고통, 하나님 나라를 위해서 애쓸 때 당하는 어려움, 예수님의 이름을 위하는 일 가운데 당하는 슬픔들이 있습니다.
 
자녀 양육에 있어서도 경쟁과 성공을 추구하는 세상의 유혹을 거슬러 기독교적 자녀 양육을 위해 헌신할 때 직면하는 어려움이 있사오니, 승리하신 주님 안에서 즐거워할 수 있는 기쁨을 간직한 부모가 되게 하옵소서.
 
고난 당하시고 마침내 부활하신 승리의 주님이 우리보다 앞서 계심을 보게 하시고, 주님의 특별한 위로와 찾아오심을 자녀와 함께 경험하는 시간이 되게 하옵소서.
 
순종할 수 있는 힘을 주시며 증력이 되시는 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘

May we be parents who suffer persecution for righteousness' sake.

God, we remember our ancestors in the faith who exemplified suffering and patience as they strived to truly believe in Jesus.

They endured imprisonment and exile, were stripped of their positions, lost their status and honor, and suffered like sheep destined for the slaughter. Yet, they considered the honor of suffering for Christ and the joy of the benefits outweighed the suffering.

In our journey of faith, we face suffering for keeping God's Word, suffering for not worshiping idols, difficulties as we strive for God's kingdom, and sorrow as we work for the name of Jesus.

In raising children, we also face challenges as we dedicate ourselves to raising Christian children, resisting the world's temptations of competition and success. Please help us to be parents who can rejoice in the Lord who has triumphed.

May we see the victorious Lord, who suffered and was ultimately resurrected, ahead of us, and may this be a time for us to experience His special comfort and visitation with our children.

In the name of Jesus, who gives us the strength to obey and is our strength, we pray. Amen.
