부모의 사명 잘 감당하게 하소서
 
사랑의 하나님, 우리 가정에 자녀를 선물로 주셔서 감사합니다.
 
부모의 사명이 어떤 것인지 하나님이 주신 지혜와 사랑으로 깨닫기를 원합니다.
 
부모인 우리가 먼저 주의 사랑과 은혜에 충만하기를 원합니다.
 
주님, 하루 하루 삶이 분주하여 자녀에게 온전한 관심을 주지 못할 때가 많았고, 때로는 자녀를 바라보는 눈이 세상의 관점으로 향하기도 하였습니다.
 
자녀 양육의 1차적인 책임을 부모에게 주셨음에도 하나님의 사랑과 말씀에 기준을 두지 못하고, 부모인 우리의 경험과 지식을 의존할 때가 많았습니다.
 
주님, 용서하여 주옵소서.
 
이제 자녀도 하나님의 사랑을 알도록 부모된 저의 신앙과 자녀 양육관을 바르게 세워 주옵소서.
 
자녀양육을 맡은 청지기로서 부모의 사명을 잘 감당하게 하소서.
 
주의 교훈과 훈계로 자녀를 양육하되, 끝까지 사랑하신 예수님처럼 자녀를 포기하지 않고 인내로 사랑하게 하옵소서.
 
또한 삶으로 가르치는 부모의 삶과 사랑 속에서 자녀가 하나님의 사랑을 더 깊이 알아가고 경험하게 되기를 원하오며 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Please help us fulfill our mission as parents.

God of love, thank you for giving us children as a gift.

May we understand the mission of parents with the wisdom and love you have given us.

As parents, may we first be filled with your love and grace.

Lord, the busyness of daily life has often prevented us from giving our children our full attention. At times, our perspectives on our children have been drawn to worldly perspectives.

Although we have been given the primary responsibility for raising children, we have often failed to establish our standards in God's love and Word, relying instead on our own experience and knowledge as parents.

Lord, forgive us.

Now, establish my faith and my perspective on raising children so that my children may also know your love.

As stewards of your children's upbringing, may we fulfill our mission as parents.

Raise our children with your teaching and admonition, but, like Jesus, who loved them to the end, please help us not to give up on them but to love them patiently.

I also pray that children will come to know and experience God's love more deeply through the lives and love of their parents, who teach them through their lives. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
