신앙교육에 있어 부모의 교육 주권을 회복시키소서
 
모든 만물이 주에게서 나오고 주로 말미암고 주에게로 돌아간다고 말씀하신 하나님, 이 세상 모든 영역이 다 주님의 주권 아래 있음을 고백하면서도 자녀의 신앙교육은 하나님께 온전히 맡겨드리지 못하는 우리를 긍휼히 여겨 주옵소서.
 
자녀가 한 학년씩 진급할 때마다 그에 따른 배움이 깊어지고, 성적이 향상되기를 바라고 열망하면서도 자녀의 나이와 학년에 맞게 신앙이 자라고 있는지에 대해서는 무관심하고 열정이 부족했던 것을 고백합니다.
 
단지 교회학교에만 잘 보내면 알아서 신앙교육을 책임져 줄 것이라고 생각했습니다.
 
이제는 부모가 일차적으로 신앙교육의 책임자임을 깨닫고 교회학교와 동역하길 원합니다.
 
자녀가 교회와 교회의 속한 부서에서 잘 적응하고 있는지, 예배와 예배 후 모임에도 빠짐없이 성실히 참여하는지, 자녀의 최근 신앙적 질문은 무엇이었는지, 담당 교역자와 선생님과 함께 이야기 나누며 자녀의 신앙 성장에도 깊은 관심을 갖게 하옵소서.

Restore parents' sovereignty over their children's faith education.

God, you said that all things come from you, through you, and to you. While we confess that all things in this world are under your sovereignty, please have mercy on us who cannot fully entrust our children's faith education to you.

As our children progressed through each grade, we longed for their learning to deepen and their grades to improve. However, we confess that we were indifferent and lacked passion for ensuring that their faith was growing appropriately for their age and grade.

We simply assumed that if we sent them to Sunday school, they would take care of their faith education.

Now, we recognize that parents are primarily responsible for their faith education, and we desire to partner with Sunday school.

Please help us to take a deep interest in our children's faith growth by discussing with their pastor and teachers whether they are adapting well to the church and its ministries, whether they are faithfully participating in worship and after-service gatherings, and what their recent faith questions are.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
