화평하게 하는 부모가 되게 하소서
 
우리와 화목하기 위하여 아들을 보내신 하나님 아버지, 하나님과 사람 사이에, 사람과 사람 사이에 생기는 분열 속에서 평화를 만드는 부모가 되기를 원합니다.
 
우리는 자신과, 이웃과, 하나님과의 관계에서 적대적이고 화해할 줄 모르는 자와 같았고, 혼란과 갈라진 틈을 타서 자신의 이득을 취하고자 하는 자와 같았음을 고백합니다.
 
하나님의 자녀로서 멀어진 관계들 속에서 평화를 조성하여 친밀함을 유지하게 하시고, 갈라진 틈을 보수하는 일에 그리스도와 함께 하게 하옵소서.
 
삶의 모든 영역에서 문제를 마주할 때, 그것을 회피함으로서 가짜 화평을 이루는 것이 아니라, 온갖 희생의 대가를 지불할 각오가 되어 있는 데서부터 오는 참다운 화평을 허락하여 주소서.
 
자녀와의 관게에 있어서 바른 관계를 조성하는 부모가 되게 하시고, 그것이 하나님께서 하시는 것과 같은 일이 됨을 경험하게 하옵소서.
 
그리하여 우리 자녀가 하나님과의 관계에서 오는 평온과 행복을 깨닫고 바른 인격적 관계를 맺어나가는 하나님의 자녀라 일컬음을 받게 하옵소서.

Let us be parents who bring peace.

God the Father, who sent your Son to reconcile us, we desire to be parents who create peace in the midst of divisions that arise between God and humanity, and between people.

We confess that in our relationships with ourselves, our neighbors, and God, we have been hostile and unreconciled, seeking to exploit confusion and divisions for our own gain.

As children of God, help us to cultivate peace in distant relationships, maintain intimacy, and work with Christ to mend those divisions.

When facing problems in every area of life, grant us not a false peace by avoiding them, but a true peace that comes from being prepared to pay the price of every sacrifice.

Let us be parents who cultivate right relationships with our children, and let us experience that this is the same work God does.

May our children realize the peace and happiness that comes from a relationship with God and develop proper personal relationships, so that they may be called children of God.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
